Our shampoo bars are made like soap (oils saponified with lye- except we use higher oils geared towards the scalp over just VCO like in our bath bars) and is therefore a different experience than bars that use surfactant based ones (not a bad thing)
It will always be cleansing over conditioning and will require a conditioner finish.
when do we recommend it?
- we recommend our bars to people (like me) who at some point or another react adversely to a component in commercial shampoos.
-whilst If you are only looking to remove the plastic bottle from your shower equation, we would recommend buying lush type surfactant based bars that still have the similar components as commercial bottles shampoos without the plastic bottle (synthetic detergent- again, not necessarily a bad thing, we might even explore having our own version in the future)
Both bars are represented in half sizes in our October set (previous post)
The best time to try if you are curious and like I always say in the shop, it’s a good risk because if it doesn’t work for your scalp, you still end up with a luxurious bar of soap
